I’m Damion. I’ve been doing this for decades.
Strong, mobile and capable: that is what I have trained for since 1998, and what I help other men build now.
The work came
before the brand.
I’m Damion Greenaway. I’ve trained with kettlebells and bodyweight since 1998. They have stayed with me through military service, the fire service, coaching and every chapter since.
My first kettlebell book was Enter the Kettlebell. I was drawn to how much you could get from a simple piece of equipment: strength, conditioning, movement and a body that could do more than just look good.
I spent three years in the military, then served in the London Fire Brigade from 2001 to 2016, rising to Crew Manager. I trained firefighters across multiple stations, where fitness needed to mean something beyond the gym.
Coaching became
my life’s work.
Over more than 20 years, I’ve coached friends, family and paying clients through personal training, boot camps, CrossFit, HYROX and kettlebell sessions. I helped set up two CrossFit gyms, with kettlebell classes woven into the training. I’ve continued learning through courses in kettlebells, bodyweight training and calisthenics.
I’ve coached in London, Dubai and Bali. Different places, different people, but the goal has stayed the same: help someone become more confident in their body and more capable in everyday life.
2020 changed
my training.
During lockdown I went all in on calisthenics and kettlebells. It was one of the best periods of training I’ve had.
I felt strong, mobile and explosive, and I was proud of how I looked. I was training without the injuries that had interrupted other periods of my life. That experience confirmed what these tools could do when the routine was structured and consistent.
Moving to Bali gave me another chance to embrace that way of training. Kettlebells remain a big part of my life, both in my own sessions and in the way I coach.
Bring the coaching
to you.
I created The Stronger Years to help more men benefit from focused coaching wherever they live. Online means I can build a routine around your real schedule, look at the work you are doing and change the plan as you progress.
You’ll bring the effort. I’ll bring the experience, structure and attention. In the first weeks, we establish habits and track what is changing; over six months, we build strength and a way of training you can carry forward.
See how the coaching worksEarned in the work.
